Female : 78 yrs

Diagnosis : Double fracture to ankle.

Female of 78 yrs, with osteoarthritis. Having broken her ankle and waited hours at A&E to be plastered, her ankle had swelled too much to be put into a plaster.

Having been X-rayed, she was sent home in bandages to rest and her appointment for plastering postponed until all swelling had reduced. Scenar was administered and within the first session 75% of the swelling reduced. She received two treatments daily for 6 days after which she was collected by ambulance and re X- rayed at A & E.

Following this 2nd x-ray she was put in a tuba grip and sent home again as the x ray showed that any fracture had healed and all bruising and swelling were gone too! ...

Female : 49 yrs

Diagnosis : Endometrial thickening with an undefined mass.

Having had 4 benign breast growths removed over some previous years, this lady was scheduled to have a 5th growth removed from within a muscle in her upper arm. During tests prior to her imminent operation, ( as she had spontaneously commenced abnormal bleeding again) she was shocked to be informed that they showed a further undefined mass and thickened of the endometrium. Because of this, a further investigative operation was scheduled for some months later. Scenar was administered post operatively to her upper arm.

Male 94 yrs Having been recalled a second time in 2 weeks for a hernia operation, this patient was delivered home.

Having been made comfortable in his easy chair he was then left for 3 days to fend for himself, confused and unable to move around. He became swollen and totally immobile.
